Jon (now known as Jon T) on his Trundlers debut drew gasps of wonder (yuk) from the oppo for his fielding and also clean bowled their opening bat (beaten for pace)
The Trundlers did not improve their chances to catches taken ratio (Liam would have been proud)
We got a respectable reply of 130 odd
Largely due to a 70 odd opening partnership between Justin (some classy shots) and Sam (some meaty shots – 3 sixes)
After that wickets tumbled at regular intervals
Clear champagne moment was Guy being run out due to his runner (Mr Binns) casually chatting to the square leg umpire whilst leaning on bat – hilarious. Guy, not amused.
The new beer at the John Baird was extremely tasty
