Match report So the first great win for the Trundlers...

Playing Sam's other team, The Haringey Arms, the Trundlers managed to overcome a pretty daunting 20 over total of 168 with a couple of overs to spare.

Lacking our usual fearsome front line bowling attack we managed to keep them at bay for just a few overs and despite the odd wicket and some brilliant catching from Duncan (sadly when he was outside the boundary ropes) they started to accelerate quickly. Fortunately the final few overs managed to calm them a little with great spells from our new found hero Rick and our old stalwart Guy.

So brave openers went out and managed a reasonably solid start. Guy and myself had made 30 or so when Guy said we should keep getting the singles, hit a huge 6 and then holed out on the boundary. Liam managed to run me out (but made up for it with a pint afterwards) and then took the opposition bowling apart with a gorgeous display of power batting. Retiring at 50 didn't stop the momentum with Rick (our hero again) and Justin continuing the cold and clinical destruction of their otherwise strong bowling attack.

So having won an official match for the first time we managed a few celebratory pints with the opposition and so secured next year’s fixture.
